Forged vs Cast Valves
Construction follows size and pressure. Forged gate valves and forged globe and check valves suit small-bore, high-pressure lines, where the forged body handles the rating compactly, typically up to around 2 inches. For larger sizes, cast steel gate valves and cast globe valves are the economical route, since casting suits the bigger bodies. Tell us the size and pressure class and the right construction follows.
Instrumentation Valves: Ball, Needle & Manifold
The instrumentation valves are one of the strongest lines here. Instrumentation ball valves give quick quarter-turn isolation on instrument and small-bore lines, needle valves give the fine control needed to bleed and isolate pressure instruments, and Inconel 625 manifold valves and the rest of the manifold range combine isolation, equalising and venting into a single 2, 3 or 5-valve block for gauge and transmitter hook-ups. Monoflange valves compress the same take-off isolation into one compact body that bolts straight to the process flange. These are stocked grade by grade, from stainless through Hastelloy and Alloy 20 instrumentation ball valves, and they pair with matching instrumentation tube fittings for a complete hook-up in one material.
