Inconel 625 Tubes

Kalpataru Piping Solutions offers high quality Inconel 625 tubes that are produced to ASTM B444 seamless and ASME SB704 welded. We supply 2 grades of our alloy 625 Tubing. Grade 1 tubes are annealed, making them the most formable and corrosion-resistant, while Grade 2 solution annealed tubes are the strongest with high temperature and high pressure applications. We have a long experience as a manufacturer of Inconel 625 tubes and ensure uniform quality with both grades.

With over 15 years of experience in nickel alloy tube manufacturing, Kalpataru Piping Solutions holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and maintains ASTM compliant production facilities in Mumbai. We export Inconel 625 tube products to 35 plus countries across marine, chemical, and aerospace industries, backed by full mill test certificates and third party inspection support. For the complete range, see our Steel Tubes catalogue or browse related Inconel Tubes.

Every single Inconel 625 seamless tube is subjected to strict mechanical testing verification such as tensile strength, yield strength and elongation to ensure conformance with ASTM B444. We are a reliable supplier of UNS N06625 tubes that offer outstanding fatigue, oxidation resistance and chloride corrosion resistance for applications in chemical processing, marine systems, aerospace and high temperature exhaust systems.

Inconel 625 Tube Heat Treatment Options

Kalpataru Piping Solutions offers Inconel 625 seamless tubing in two heat treated conditions to match your application requirements.

Grade 1 (Annealed): Heat treated at 1900 to 2050 degrees Fahrenheit (1038 to 1121 degrees Celsius) followed by rapid cooling. This condition provides optimal ductility and formability for bending, flaring, and fabrication work. Recommended for complex tube configurations and moderate temperature service.

Grade 2 (Solution Annealed): Heat treated at 2050 to 2150 degrees Fahrenheit (1121 to 1177 degrees Celsius) for enhanced mechanical properties. This condition delivers higher tensile and yield strength for demanding high pressure, high temperature applications in chemical processing and power generation.

Surface Finish & Packaging: Available finishes include bright annealed, pickled and passivated, or mill finish. All Inconel 625 tubes are supplied with plastic end caps, bundled with steel strapping, and packed in wooden crates for export shipments. Custom marking and third party inspection can be arranged on request.

Welding and Fabrication of Inconel 625

Inconel 625 offers excellent fabricability and weldability. It can be readily welded using standard processes including Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG). Its low carbon content resists post weld heat treatment cracking, so post weld treatment is generally not required. For best results, matching filler metal such as AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-3 is recommended to preserve the corrosion resistance and strength of the weld joint, particularly for Inconel 625 welded tube and DIN 2.4856 tube applications in chemical and marine service.

Pitting Resistance and PREN Value

The pitting resistance equivalent number, commonly referred to as PREN, is a comparative figure calculated from chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content, expressed as PREN equals chromium percent plus 3.3 times molybdenum percent plus 16 times nitrogen percent. Using the mid range chromium content (21.5%) and molybdenum content (9.0%) of Inconel 625, and treating nitrogen as negligible since it is not a controlled element in this alloy’s specification, the calculation gives a PREN value of approximately 51, among the highest of any commercially available tube material and a key reason Inconel 625 performs so well in chloride rich, seawater, and sour gas environments.

Inconel 625 Dimensional Tolerances

Pressure Rating of Inconel 625 Tubing

Allowable working pressure is calculated using P = 2 x S x t / D, where S is allowable stress, t is wall thickness, and D is outside diameter. The figures below use a 4 to 1 design factor against the ASTM B444 minimum tensile strength (S = 207 MPa / 30,000 psi), a commonly used conservative factor for instrumentation tubing.

Inconel 625 Tubing Price Factors

Inconel 625 tube prices in India vary based on several factors. Tube diameter, wall thickness, and schedule significantly impact cost, since thicker walls and heavier schedules require more raw material. Heat treatment condition also affects pricing, with solution annealed Grade 2 tubes typically 10 to 15 percent higher than annealed Grade 1.

Manufacturing type influences cost as well. Cold drawn seamless tubing has tighter tolerances and a cleaner finish compared to welded tubes, which is reflected in pricing. Order quantity matters too, since bulk orders of 500 kg or more qualify for volume discounts. For current Inconel 625 tube price quotes based on your specifications, contact our sales team.

Industrial Applications of Alloy 625 Tubing
