Kalpataru Piping Solution supplies valve manifolds, the 2, 3 and 5-valve blocks that isolate, equalise and vent a pressure instrument in one compact unit. The busiest lines are the stainless steel 304 manifold valves and Inconel 625 manifold valves, part of our full Valves range. A manifold replaces a set of separate valves and fittings on a gauge or transmitter hook-up with one leak-tested block, and each routes to its grade below.

The configuration follows the instrument: a 2-valve manifold isolates and vents a pressure gauge, while 3-valve and 5-valve manifolds add the equalising valve a differential-pressure transmitter needs. The grade follows the process, from stainless up to duplex S31803/S32205 manifold valves and Hastelloy, and the manifold pairs with the matching instrumentation tube fittings so the hook-up stays one material.

2, 3 & 5-Valve Manifolds

The equalising valve on the 3 and 5-valve blocks is the key: it connects the high and low sides so a differential-pressure cell can be isolated and zeroed without over-ranging it, which is why DP transmitter hook-ups use them.

Where Manifolds Fit in the Hook-Up

A manifold sits directly between the process impulse lines and the instrument, so it bolts to the transmitter flange on one side and connects to the impulse tubing through instrumentation tube fittings on the other. Keeping the manifold, the fittings and any isolation ball valve to one grade means the whole hook-up is a single material with one certificate trail. Quality, Testing & Certification

Every manifold is pressure tested and seat-leak checked before dispatch, and each order carries an EN 10204 mill test certificate for the body material with heat-number traceability. Positive material identification confirms the grade, NACE MR0175 compliance for sour service and third-party witness through BV, SGS or TUV are arranged at order stage, and manifolds are cleaned and packed for instrument service. Common stainless manifolds ship quickly; nickel alloys, duplex and titanium are confirmed on enquiry. The number of valves and the instrument they suit. A 2-valve manifold isolates and vents a pressure gauge or single-line transmitter. A 3-valve manifold adds an equalising valve for a differential-pressure transmitter, and a 5-valve manifold adds two vent or test valves on top for full isolation, venting and calibration. More valves means more control over isolating and zeroing the instrument.
On a differential-pressure transmitter, the equalising valve connects the high and low pressure sides. Opening it before isolating lets the DP cell see the same pressure on both sides, so it can be isolated and zeroed without being over-ranged by full line pressure on one side. This is why DP transmitter hook-ups use 3 or 5-valve manifolds rather than separate valves.

Stainless 304 and 316L cover general service, 310 adds high temperature, Inconel and Incoloy handle high temperature and corrosion, duplex and super duplex and 254 SMO take high-chloride and seawater duty, Hastelloy handles mixed acids, and titanium suits seawater.
